Care Instructions

Precautions

For safety, please observe the following precautions when using my products:

  • It goes without saying but do not eat any products, they are for external use only. I know they are pretty but I repeat, DO NOT EAT!

  • Check the ingredients listed to ensure you are not allergic or sensitive  to anything. If you have sensitivities, it is advisable to perform a patch test to check for any adverse reactions. If you experience any skin irritation, DISCONTINUE USE IMMEDIATELY

  • Most of my products contain essential oils, so consult with a healthcare provider before use if you are pregnant, as some essential oils may not be suitable during pregnancy

  • Avoid getting soap etc. in your eyes, as it may cause irritation. Rinse thoroughly with water if this does happen

  • Keep products out of the reach of children to prevent accidents occurring

  • Use caution when using products in the bath or shower to prevent slipping

  • Be gentle when using any soaps and scrubs with exfoliating ingredients like coffee grounds, as excessive scrubbing may cause skin irritation

Instructions For Use

I’m stating the obvious, but just in case:

  • Soaps – wet the soap before applying it to your skin or hair and avoid contact with eyes. You know the rest

  • Bath Bombs - run your bathwater before adding the bath bomb! Add your bath bomb when you are in the water and enjoy the fizz and slow release of essential oils

  • Bath Salts – add while running your bathwater to allow salts to dissolve before you get in

  • Hand & Body Scrubs – apply the scrub to damp skin and rub gently to avoid over exfoliating and irritating your skin

  • Hand Salves - massage onto clean hands. Reapply as needed

  • Lip Balms - massage onto lips with a clean finger. Reapply as needed

  • Body Butters - gently massage onto skin, avoiding contact with eyes. Reapply as needed

 Storage instructions

Taking proper care of handmade soap will help it to last longer, so here are a few tips:

  • Keep soaps as dry as possible. Use a soap saver to allow air to circulate around the soap, helping it to dry out after use. Alternatively, use a soap dish with good drainage to prevent the soap from sitting in water

  • Store unused soaps in a cool, dry place, away from strong lights and smells, dust and humidity

  • Use products within a reasonable timeframe. My products do not contain preservatives, so for the best experience, it's best to use them typically within 6 months of purchase

  • Keep bath bombs in a cool, dry place away from moisture, humidity, and direct sunlight. Exposure to moisture can activate the fizzing reaction prematurely and reduce the bath bomb's effectiveness

  • Lip Balms, Hand Salves, Body Butters - store in a cool dry place. In warm conditions, oils may melt. Refrigerate for a short period of time to solidify again
